Enhanced FiCEP Program

About the program

The enhanced FiCEP program trains credit union staff to become certified credit union financial counselors.  Participants study CUNA’s FiCEP materials, which consist of 8 modules.  Each module is supported with a tutorial webinar.  To achieve their CCUFC designation, students must pass two 100 question tests, one after the first four modules and another at the end of the program. 

Mark will conduct an orientation webinar, 8 tutorial webinars, 1 program development webinar and 2 pre-testing review webinars.  The program will commence in late May and will conclude in early October.

The pre-testing review webinars are prerecorded and are available prior to taking the proctored tests.

Program Cost – There are two cost components.  The cost of FiCEP materials is $520 and is paid to CUNA.  The cost of the webinars and program support is $250 and is paid to CU Difference.  After you register and pay for the CU Difference component, you will receive directions on how to order your Ficep materials from CUNA.

Meet Mark


Mark Lynch’s passion for cooperatives and the credit union movement launched him into working with credit union organizations. Prior to co-founding CU Difference, Mark was the Senior Program Manager with the Foundation. In his work with the Foundation, he focused on teaching credit union staff through the Enhanced FiCEP Program, created the interactive Retirement Fair for credit unions, spearheaded two pilot programs designed to help credit unions provide auto loans to members with low credit scores, and was heavily involved in the Credit Union Development Education (CUDE) Program.
